The Everglades National Park was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979. There are more than 360 species of birds and 27 species of snakes living in the Everglades. In addition to reptiles such as alligators and crocodiles, the wetlands are also home to endangered species. The rarest animal is the endangered panther.
Key West
